AskScoobyAI is a Chrome extension that helps users prepare for job interviews by generating tailored interview questions, answers, cover letters, and AI practice feedback from job descriptions and information the user provides.

Information We Collect When you use AskScoobyAI, we collect:

• Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo.
• Content you provide — your CV/resume text, job descriptions (typed or imported from LinkedIn job pages), company names, and the answers you record during AI Mock Interview practice (stored as text transcripts).
• Generated content — the interview questions, STAR answers, cover letters, feedback, and scores produced for you, plus your practice history and progress.
• Camera frames (optional) — if you turn on video during a practice session, a few still frames are captured and sent for AI analysis to provide delivery notes. The video recording itself is never uploaded or stored by us.
• Payment information — if you purchase credits, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details.

How We Use Your Information We use your information only to:

• Generate your interview questions, STAR answers, cover letters, and CV suggestions
• Provide AI Mock Interview practice, feedback, and scoring
• Maintain your account, credit balance, and progress history
• Operate, secure, and improve the service

How Your Information Is Processed and Stored

• Your account data, generated results, and practice history are stored in our database provider, Supabase, so your work and progress persist across sessions.
• To generate results and feedback, your inputs (CV, job descriptions, practice transcripts, and any camera frames) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), for processing.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. Authentication is handled by Google. These providers act as our service providers and process data only to provide the service.

Data Sharing We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with the service providers listed above (Anthropic, Supabase, Stripe, Google) strictly to operate the service, and where required by law.

Data Retention and Your Choices We retain your account data and practice history for as long as your account is active. You can request access to, or deletion of, your data at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

• LinkedIn access — used only when you click "Import from LinkedIn" to read a job posting's title, company, and description.
